Photo Booth: FUNomenal Family Festival

Our 2nd Spring Break event we did another Photo Booth with lots of fun with our guests.   Today we were at the FUNomenal Family Festival at Discovery Green Park in downtown Houston where we took hundred of pictures for free and printed them out on the spot for Free.

UHD Photography Club: Spring Ed. 3

Imaging USA 2013

Recent UHD graduate Kevin Li Yung Hing, Janny Phung, and Students from UHD: Photography Club recently attended Imaging USA Photo Conference in Atlanta, Georgia from January 18th-23rd. They fund raised over $5,000 for their trip, and learned about the history of The World Of Coca Cola – Atlanta, Stone Mountain Park, visited the birth home of Martin Luther King Jr., photographed 45th annual service parade, aquatic creatures at Georgia Aquarium. In addition they networked with vendors for donations, and famous photographers from around the world.

Free Photo Booth printout

To get things started we are putting on UHD’s Coolest Photo Booth on campus this week on Wednesday from 11am-1pm at the Ticket Booth area. Sponsored by UHD: Student Activities and Photo Club.

If you don’t know where it is don’t worry. Ask someone for directions to the Cafeteria in the Academic building on the 3rd floor, and you will see our Photo Booth you won’t miss it.

We will have props (accessories) for you to choose then step it into the picture area where one of our photo club members will snap a picture, and after that we will Print the pictures out for you on the spot.

 Make sure to pass the word out invite your friends, new friends you meet at UHD, and everyone else you see at UHD.

Photo Contest

Also here’s our 1st Photo Contest for the semester.

It’s that time again and this month’s theme is Winter.

Upload your best Photo that matches the theme here http://uhdphotoclub.smugmug.com/PhotoClub/2013/Winter/27445759_zDNTTQ. Use the login uhdphotoclub@gmail.com and pasword gators. Please make sure to label your photo with your name and email. Winners will be determined by the officers and announced at one of our meetings. There will be prizes for First, Second, and Third place as long as we have enough entries. Last photo contest winners won a 32GB SDHC memory card.

Imaging USA 2013 Goal

We are currently looking for donors or clients to help support our trip to Imaging USA Conference to Atlanta.The purpose of attending Imaging USA is to open UHD students to learn different aspects of photography which include but are not limited to testing the latest cameras and software while connecting with photographers similar to our own aspirations.

The experience of going to photography conferences such as

Imaging USA will help reinforce areas of interest while enlightening other areas which our members have not been exposed to. In doing so, we can return with experiences and knowledge to share with others whom may not have had the opportunity to attend due to work or family constraints.

We would appreciate any support from any member of the UHD community as well as anyone from the industry that would help achieve our goal of furthering our knowledge in photography.

General Meeting

What’s up Photo Club members,


Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
The semester is nearly over, and yes finals are coming soon, but don’t worry because we have some exciting news to tell you. 
This week we are going to have 2 meetings (tell you about our awesome trip and PARTY ).
